bloom.JPG

YOU ARE NOT BROKEN.

Maybe your environment is not ideal, maybe your mindset could be improved, or maybe you’re experiencing a tough season right now.

But that does not define you.

You are worthy of the effort to fix your environment so that you can bloom...but you most certainly are not broken, and YOU do not need “fixing”!

Do you have friends who need to hear this?

If so, share this post and let's encourage one another!

How to Get Unstuck

6 Phenomenal Growth Opportunities

1. Be Excited for Others Successes
You must find joy and happiness in seeing other succeed. It’s so incredibly important to find joy in the success of others, when you feel proud, excited and joyful when you see a friend, family member or anyone have any amount of success, it can come right back to you!

2. Stop Comparing
We all know that anything anyone posts on social media is just a highlight reel.. What we put out on the internet is what we want to be portrayed as so It’s so unfair to yourself to look at others “lives” and compare yours to that.

3. Be Happy, Get Happy...
Happiness is just a decision away. What happens in your life good or bad is just a situation and you have the choice of how you feel about that situation. Understand that happiness attracts happiness. What you put out, comes back.

4. Drop The Ego
Sorry if this was a little sting in your spirit but the moment when you let go of ego, and you work from your heart, is the moment you feel free and living in your purpose.

5. Define Your Why
In business, I find this important. When your why is for others, and it’s your heart to improve the lives of other human beings, you will begin to thrive. Your why should make you emotional, excited, driven and that feeling of excitement when you wake up.

6. Understand Your Worth
You CANNOT base your worth on someone else’s opinion... Do not let what other people think or say about you, hold you back from going after your goals or dreams… Build your dream board, move fearlessly toward your goals and understand that what other people say about you or your ideas does not determine your result. But realize that I do believe in you!

Hope this post helped you all and motivates you to move forward with whatever goals, dreams or desires you have!

What is Candida Die-Off?

Starting any kind of new way of eating (aka a new diet) or adding premium quality supplements that have highly absorbed probiotics will likely involve some big changes in your lifestyle, but it can be made much more difficult by "detoxing", otherwise known as Candida Die-Off.

candida die off pic.jpg

This is particularly important because die-off symptoms are one of the biggest reasons why people prematurely abandon their nutritional lifestyle changes. Being prepared will help you to avoid this ‘bump’ in your new lifestyle when you are prepared for these symptoms and understand that detox symptoms can actually be a good thing.

What is Candida Die-Off?

This term was coined to describe what Karl Herxheimer saw when he administered drugs to patients. The reaction is thought to happen when toxins from dying pathogens (viruses, bacteria, parasites, candida, etc.) overwhelm the body’s abilities to clear them out.  The liver is your main pathway for eliminating toxins, and the Die-Off symptoms mean that it is being overwhelmed.

Candida is a type of fungus that can grow out of control. It tends to flourish in people with Adrenal Fatigue. Stress, which is associated with Adrenal Fatigue, can precipitate an outbreak of candida or make an existing outbreak worse.

This may sound counter-intuitive, but most chronic candida sufferers have a common history of previous multiple antibiotic therapy, naturally or otherwise.

Die-Off Symptoms

The symptoms of Candida Die-Off are sometimes compared to those of a common cold or seasonal allergies, but can be quite different from person by person. The toxic byproducts of Candida tend to cause inflammation, which can lead to a stuffy nose, blocked sinuses, and other allergy-like symptoms.

Metabolites like the neurotoxin acetaldehyde can also cause symptoms like brain fog, headaches, fatigue, and nausea. Remember that these toxins are stressing your liver too, so having a sore abdomen (especially in the liver region) is also possible.

Here are a few of the symptoms you might experience during a Die-Off reaction (otherwise known as a Herxheimer reaction).

  • Nausea
  • Muscle Aches
  • Headache, fatigue, dizziness
  • Brain Fog
  • Swollen glands
  • Bloating, gas, constipation or diarrhea
  • Increased joint or muscle pain
  • Elevated heart rate
  • Chills, cold feeling in your extremities
  • Body itchiness, hives or rashes
  • Sweating
  • Fever
  • Skin breakouts
  • Excess Mucus Production
  • Recurring vaginal, prostate and sinus infections

These symptoms are often reported by many to feel very flu-like or cold-like. Your whole body is generally sluggish and it usually feels as if your body is working harder – almost fighting something.

What Causes Candida Die-Off?

To cause a die-off reaction, you need to actually make a very substantial change to your treatment plan. Because, remember, die-off is a situation in which the toxins in your body overwhelm the natural ability to clear them.

The changes that might cause die-off are usually:

  • Switching from processed food to a real food diet (death of pathogens by starving)
  • Starting or increasing probiotic dosage (death of pathogens by good soldiers)
  • Starting or increasing dosage of antiparasitic, anti-yeast or antibiotic (death of pathogens by bombing)

In each of these scenarios, the change in treatment will cause substantial changes in gut flora and knock out a big portion of the bad guys. When that happens, they release toxins that need to be excreted by the body.

If you begin a supplement with probiotics and begin experiencing Candida Die-Off, it is most likely due to the sudden influx of the "good soldiers" in your system.

As the environment for candida becomes less hospitable, the yeast will find it increasingly difficult to survive and begin dying off in great numbers. This leads to unpleasant symptoms, often causing people to give up on their new lifestyle changes or supplement regimen: it starts working, but as the candida dies, it produces toxic by-products, making you feel temporarily worse.

Symptoms differ from one person to another and can be worse in people who also have Adrenal Fatigue. Because the liver is often functioning at a sub-optimal level, this central organ of elimination is unprepared for the increased toxins. The liver is one of the most important organs that metabolizes and processes toxins.

Because those who suffer from Adrenal Fatigue tend to have congested livers that are working at capacity already, adding more toxins might push the body over the edge and cause the candida die off symptoms.

Coping With Candida Die-Off

These symptoms normally clear up within a week or so, but could last a little longer.

There are a few things you can do to diminish this reaction, expel the toxins more quickly, and get back on track.

  • Take a liver-supportive supplement like molybdenum (found in premium lifestyle mix drinks) or milk thistle to help your liver process and expel the Candida toxins.
Molybdenum in particular is very useful for those suffering from Die-Off. It is needed for your body to produce enzymes that convert the neurotoxin acetaldehyde into acetic acid, which is then expelled by your body or even converted into harmless acetic acid. Acetaldehyde toxicity can be a major source of unpleasant symptoms, so molybdenum supplementation can be very effective.

  • Cut back on your supplements
Do not stop them, as you'll have to start the whole process all over again.
Most antifungals work by breaking down the walls of the Candida yeast cells, which then release the many toxins that the Candida colonies have been producing. Reducing your antifungal dosage will cut down the amount of toxins being released into your bloodstream. When you feel better, you can start to increase it again.

  • Reduce your dosage of probiotics.
Do not stop them, as you'll have to start the whole process all over again.
A course of good probiotics will repopulate your gut, crowd out the Candida, restore your stomach acidity, and boost your immune system. Probiotics are less likely than antifungals to cause Die-Off, but if you start to experience increased symptoms you can temporarily reduce your dosage.

  • Increase water intake to flush out the toxins faster.
If you want to feel better, all those byproducts that are released by the Candida yeast need to leave your body. You can give them a push by drinking more water.

  • Slow down and rest as much as possible.
Stress can weaken your adrenals and reduce your body’s ability to fight pathogens like a fungal infection. And a Die-Off reaction will only increase the physiological and emotional stress that you are facing. Relaxing and taking some personal time will help your immune system to do what it was designed to do.

  • Try some alternative detox methods like skin brushing, saunas, or contrast showers.
Most of these treatments are designed to increase your circulatory and lymphatic systems. They help you to expel the toxins that the dying Candida cells have released.

  • Take 1000 mg of Vitamin C twice daily.
This multi-purpose vitamin boosts your adrenals and helps restore your immune system to health.

How to deal with negative people

36452129_10160470570400487_2504610513669849088_o.jpg

Negative people will never pay your bills!

If they aren't paying your bills, they don't get a say in your life!

Psychology Today has excellent advice on how to deal with negative people:

One obvious solution is to walk away from them. But this is easier said than done; while we could always walk away from the bartender with a bad attitude or the airline agent with an anger-management problem, we can’t walk away from a parent, sibling, spouse, colleague, or friend with a negative attitude.

A more practical approach to dealing with them is to start by understanding the reasons for their negativity. In brief, almost all negativity has its roots in one of three deep-seated fears: the fear of being disrespected by others, the fear of not being loved by others, and the fear that “bad things” are going to happen. These fears feed off each other to fuel the belief that “the world is a dangerous place and people are generally mean.”

It is easy to see how, from the perspective of someone operating from such fears, it makes sense to question the wisdom of pursuing dreams (failure seems all but guaranteed), and to be averse to taking risks even if it is obvious that doing so is necessary to learn and grow. It is also easy to see why people with these fears would find it difficult to trust other people.

The fears that negative people harbor manifest themselves in a variety of ways, including:

• A thin skin, or the proclivity to take umbrage at others’ comments; e.g., “you look good today” is interpreted as, “you mean, I didn’t look good yesterday?”

• Judgmentalism, or the tendency to impute negative motivations to others’ innocent actions; thus, guests who don’t compliment a meal are judged as “uncouth brutes who don’t deserve future invitations.”

• Diffidence: A sense of helplessness about one’s ability to deal with life’s challenges, leading to anxiety in facing those challenges, and to shame or guilt when the challenges are not met.

• Demanding nature: Although negative people are diffident about their own abilities, they nevertheless put pressure on close-others to succeed and “make me proud” and “not let me down”.

• Pessimism, or the tendency to believe that the future is bleak; thus, for example, negative people can more readily think of ways in which an important sales call will go badly than well.

• Risk aversion, especially in social settings. This leads to reluctance to divulge any information that could be “used against me,” leading, ultimately, to boring conversations and superficial relationships.

• The need to control others’—especially close-others’—behaviors. For example, negative people have strong preferences on what and how their children should eat, what type of car their spouse should drive, etc.

Notice a common feature across all of these manifestations of negativity: the tendency to blame external factors—other people, the environment, or “luck”—rather than oneself, for one’s negative attitudes. Thus, negative people tend to think, “If only people realized my true worth, if only people were nicer and the world wasn’t fraught with danger, and if only my friends, relatives, and colleagues behaved like I want them to, then I’d be happy!”

At first blush, it might seem paradoxical that negative people can simultaneously feel diffident about themselves and feel entitled to others’ respect and love. Similarly, it may seem paradoxical that negative people feel pessimistic about their own future and yet goad others to succeed. But of course, there’s no paradox here. It’s precisely because negative people don’t feel respected and loved enough, and don’t feel sufficiently in control of their own life that they demand others’ respect and love, and seek to control others.

Looked at from this perspective, their negativity is a thinly disguised cry for help. Of course, negative people do themselves no favors by being needy and controlling—they’d be far more successful in getting the respect, love and control they crave if they realized how self-defeating their neediness and desire for control is—but that doesn’t take away the fact that negative people need help.

A straightforward, but ultimately unproductive way of helping negative people is to give them the respect, love, and control they crave. However, this could be a slippery slope since people adapt to the new levels of respect, love, and control they get and thus, you may find yourself in the position of having to provide increasing levels of respect, love and control to keep the negative people happy. Put differently, by fulfilling their desires, you may be creating a Frankenstein that comes back to haunt you worse than ever.

What do you think? Have you ever dealt with negative people? How do you handle it?

It’s a beautiful day to live your life

Stopping to pause and reflect is one of the most valuable activities you can do to grow your business. Today, pause and reflect on your week.

If we pause to allow growth to catch up with us, it makes our lives better because we not only better understand the significance of what we’ve experienced, but we can implement changes and course corrections as a result. We are also better equipped to teach others from the wisdom that we have gained.

Women who wear heels are cut from a different cloth.

We elevate ourselves to the next level, always pushing towards the top.
It makes sense that strong women become strong leaders in heels!

Leaders in heels are passionate, energetic, and curious visionaries.

We are actively building our life by design and craft it to create happiness and always looking for new and exciting opportunities. We don’t wear heels to impress others, we wear heels because it just feels so dang good to be a bit taller. To take it all in!!!

Leaders in heels are confident.
We know who we are.
We don't followed trends, we create them.

Leaders in heels are determined. We are focused on our life goals and are persistent and will push through our fears to make our dreams a reality.

Speak Life! You never know who's watching...

image1.jpeg

My friend’s sweet girl Wyllow Ann came to visit us last week.

This little ball of sunshine, so pure and happy, made me stop and realize what an opportunity we have to be a light in someone's life, no matter how young they are.  I like to think of these little ones as flowers.

And what does a flower need to grow and flourish?

They need to be nurtured, cared for, watered, cultivated with loving hands...

And it's a proven natural phenomenon that plants flourish when they are in a happy environment, being talked to positively, on a daily basis.

It's funny to think that raising a child to be strong and happy is a simple as raising flower. And while raising little humans is definitely more complicated, the concept is the same.

Just as a sunflower turns its face to the sun for light and warmth, these little ones are turning their faces to us, watching, learning, soaking up everything we do and say.

  • Don't ever hesitate to tell a child how wonderful they are, every single day.
  • Speak positive words over them and see how they flourish.
  • Love your body (even if its flawed) so that they will love theirs.
  • Treat others kindly so that they will do the same.
  • Teach them that it is fulfilling to give and always more fun to share.

Don't ever waste an opportunity to give a child the gift of your belief in them.

We must make them feel safe and wanted while instilling the belief that they can be anyone they want to be. And we do this by being our highest selves around these little sponges.

It's a great responsibility but the reward is even greater.
The world always needs more flowers and you can help them grow!

A gift awaits you

Have you ever felt like you should say something after a conversation is over, but the chance is gone? ‍

Or felt a pull towards something, but resisted?

Have you ever "sat on the sidelines" and kicked yourself for not being "in the game"?

What if we leaned into those moments with trust instead of pulling away in fear? Imagine the possibilities!

This past weekend, I traveled to Asheville to hold a mindset retreat with my team. ️ I knew it would be powerful and visceral, but I wasn't fully prepared for how I personally received the blessings of helping others step into their greatness.

And isn't that the greatest position to be in? To help others while we help ourselves?

It's a win - win!!

The men and women at this retreat showed up.

... really showed up. There was no "agenda" sent out beforehand, no book to buy, or preparation material. The courage it took to even make the time to come, to invest in themselves, and to walk through those doors was immense. And I could see the vulnerability and even guarded emotions on their faces as we started our day. But as the day went on, walls came down, barriers dissolved, and tears were shed. Tears of joy, relief, resonation... tears of change.

Those who show up, go up.  For so many people, it's not a priority to invest in themselves. We think that pouring into others is where the change happens.  But we cannot expect to show others how to level up when we don't know how, ourselves. Look inward.  Return to yourself. Return to love. ️ Sometimes you have to do this to reset and refresh all those "open tabs" in your mind.

A shift happened in that room this past weekend.  I felt it and saw it. And those that apply what they learned WILL level up. There is no greater joy than helping others realize and reach their greatest potential.

God really does have a gift for you....a box of blessings with YOUR NAME on it.

How do you get it?

Show up... be open to receiving His blessings... and participate in the conversation.

Don't miss the opportunity next time! You are worth it!

Comparison is a Thief

comparison.JPG

Comparison is a thief.

Not just a thief of joy, like the sayings go... but I’ve seen comparison steal businesses, friendships, marriages, and more.

Especially on social media.

Listen.

As you’re watching others through the lens of social media, realize you’re seeing what they CHOOSE to show you.  In most cases, it’s their best angle best version of themselves and the highlight reel of their life.

What you’re not seeing is the argument they just had with a preteen, the dirty socks on the kitchen counter (like, seriously?), or the messy office.

You’re not seeing them cry in the shower due to stress, you’re not hearing them call their best friend to snap back to reality, or smelling the burned dinner in their oven for the 3rd time this week.

What you’re seeing is seconds worth of a 24 hour day.

So, the next time you catch yourself comparing to someone’s highlights...
Remember who YOU are.
Remember whose you are.
Remember your purpose.

We can be different and still celebrate each other’s highlight reel, knowing that’s only a piece of the story. Right? Who’s with me?

How to Have More Confidence

3.png

It's so easy to say "just have more confidence"...but who can really deny that uncomfortable ugly feeling of uncertainty that dwells deep inside when you're challenged beyond what you know?

This has been my whole life....until I learned the secret of where this stems from.

You see, this is how my brain played tricks on me to keep me playing small in life: To keep me "safe". "Safe" from being made fun of or from getting embarrassed...."Safe" from saying the wrong thing, doing the wrong thing, failing, having people laugh at me. Oh and I hid in that shell!

On the outside, I appeared successful and confident, but on the inside fear challenged my every move.

Sure, it's definitely more comfortable and safe to never take yourself on, to never become aware, to never really grow. In fact, I do not recommend it. Because if you do, you just might experience freedom, purpose, ease, partnership, love, vitality and fulfillment. Heck, you might even find and fulfill passions or purpose you don't even know you've been gifted with!!

I will say this... when I said "adios" to all those irrational feelings, it became a mindset (and life-changing) shift.

You are whole, perfect, complete, just the way you are. Don't let the world, or even your own inner voice tell you differently. You are important! You matter!
